Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry is a writer, actor, producer, and director of many entertainments such as TV shows, books, plays, movies, and known as Madea. He was born in New Orleans on September 13, 1969. Of the four children, he suffered from abused by his father for many years. He attempted suicide to remove his self from the family situation. While struggling through school and becoming unsuccessful with jobs, he was inspired by a comment that was made on Oprah’s talk show that turned his life around.

In regard to psychodynamic, Tyler Perry developed an unconscious mind from his childhood experiences as he suffered from many abuses. The unconscious experiences damaged the relationship between the child and the caretakers (Cloninger, 2013). Throughout his movies, books, and plays, the entertainments were based on stories such as loss love, betrayal, abandonment, homeless, hopelessness, but also salvation and redemption. Madea was used as his unconscious fantasies in his entertainments, who were always the one to step in and save the day.
From the behavioral and social point, Tyler Perry intuitively knows what people want, or feel, and cooperate well with others. Tyler enjoy working with groups and somehow finds a way to create a great relationship with outside people. Even though he experienced an abusive life, he observes others and produce entertainment based on different stories and feelings that people struggle with in everyday life within the diversity. Commonly, Tyler Perry is seen as very intelligent, creative, and solve problems with good judgement. Using the Big Five Personality assessment (Cloninger, 2013), I would consider Tyler Perry as very sociable, but could have emotional break drowns from time to time. As he enjoy writing plays and producing movies, he has a strong connection with outside resources and character that play their acting part very well. He has self-control over his actions and personal power. He is a very hard worker that strives to entertain people with real life learning experiences. Lastly, he is creative and open minded to new ideas as he produce his work (Cloninger, 2013).
In terms of humanistic perspective, Tyler Perry strive to reach personal growth (Cloninger, 2013). Over the years, his entertainments has gradually got better as his creativity and imagination published interesting real life books and movies.
