It can kill you anywhere or any place at any time. No matter who you are it will come for you. It is Tyranny. Tyranny can put you to death by many, by leaders in command or even by a huge boss. Thankfully there are people who have tried to stop this mass destructive force. They made the Constitution. It had protected everyone from tyranny. The Constitution protected the people by installing federalist type of government which had protected the states from a big national government. The framers wanted to make sure that big states as well as small states had voice. Thirdly, they had to make sure that each branch were separate bodies of government. Finally, The framers wanted to make sure that each branch of government could balance each other out.

Federalism Federalism - the system of government, in America we have a different type of federalism. We have one large national government, then we have many smaller state governments. In James Madison's Federalist paper 51#, I quote, “The different governments will each control each other, at the same time each will be controlled by itself.” This means that the national government has specific powers such as declaring war or regulating trade. They were arguing about if the senate and the house of representatives should be appointed by population or a selected number. In the Constitution it states, “ The number of representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty thousand.” This gives the big states an advantage. The Constitution also says that “ The senate of the United States shall be composed of two senators from each state.” This gives the smaller states an opportunity to vote. This protects against tyranny by making sure that the bigger states do not overpower the smaller
