The concept of Checks and Balances is each branch of government can be included in different activities and help make an impact of the other branches. Some examples include three power of the Senate to be able to accept presidential appointments and judicial review of congressional enactments. The system of Checks and Balances make the government more democratic by helping by each branch having a say in what decisions can help the government to help improve it and successful.
