1) Uncle Tom is a very heroic and courageous man. He always prays to God and finds a way to keep his faith. As the novel goes on, the cruel treatment that Tom suffers makes him question his belief in a God, but Tom keeps holding on to his faith.
2) Uncle Tom represents all the African Americans that were forced to be slaves. Uncle Tom was meant to be a generalization, of how poorly the slaves were treated. Uncle Tom’s Cabin tried to give people of the time an idea of how the slaves felt about being slaves.
3) The idea of family is huge in this book. Uncle Tom stays with his family, so he can support and care for them, instead of gaining his own freedom. Most of the novel centers around the importance of family, and different life lessons for people to learn about how great family is.

Many similarities and symmetry towards the bible and the Christian belief run through out that pages. Some stuff that can be included could be the two symbolic deaths, that are caused to help save others. Also, the book questions the morals of slavery and if a true Christian would have to good morals to that slavery in wrong.

6) Mr. Haley is the slave trader who buys Uncle Tom. He seems very bipolar. Even though he normal treats the slaves pretty well, for a slave trader, and he normally has a good heart. He also sometimes is very violent towards them.
7) Simon is an awful human being who takes all of his hate out on to others, manly slaves. He is a vicious, and barbaric guy.
