In hopes these advancements will help localize manufacturing and allow the company to produce products for each market locally. To manufacture products where they are being sold drastically cuts down on the amount of people needed to get to market, time needed to get products to market and majorly cut down on costs. Policies like these affect many companies if not all of them. If Under Armour was looking to not have to pay the 20% import tax they could look at getting manufacturing 100% in the United States, although this would be very costly and in the end, might not be beneficial to the company.
Recommendations to maximize future profits. Under Armour is major company in the sports apparel market. They are good at marketing and selling quality products that help athletes to be better. Some obvious things would be to sponsor more top of their sport athletes, become a larger company in overseas markets, expand to more locations worldwide, to be able to find a way to get manufacturing materials locally to cut down on export and import costs. If Under Armour can expand to more locations as well as finding materials locally no matter where they are would cut down on overhead costs as well as save money on materials.
