Hi, Tara! This will be an excellent idea for Ingrid to keep a calendar or tracker to ensure she is making her appointments and taking her medication as prescribed on time. Ingrid will need some financial assistance in order not to be caught up in the same situation as before not being able to get her medication due to financial offsets. Tara culture does play a significant role in different people lives because of the way they were raised and family values that they inherit at a young age. Ingrid should also understand that with her diagnosis it is critical that she try and keep it under control with her medication especially having children in the home.

The evaporator and condenser are built into one unit which sits in the wall and vents from the cellar to the adjacent room. On 10/26/16 CM went to unit #222 due a complaint that water was coming from that unit causing some damages to the ceiling in unit #122, situation that has been happing before and was fixed by the maintenance personal. CM ask Ms. Footman was happen she say that anything was fine in her unit, however based on CM observation , the bathroom tub was wet , signs that someone recently took a shower but the floor was dry. Ms. Footman denied having any flood in the unit at that moment. On 11/27/16 CM went to conduct the Safe Sleep inspection with the DHS Compliance Analyst Jeanette Chirico, while in the second floor we went to unit #222 assigned to Ms. Tiana Footman and her three children.

Unit 9: Women and Health impacted greatly on my own understanding of health and well-being in a positive way, opening my eyes to the wide scope of mind and body that health actually represents. For myself, a person with chronic illness I have always felt as if people considered my illness as an easy excuse or reason not to participate fully in society, and while my body doesn’t always cooperate my mind has always been functioning at capacity and as such I consider myself to be a strong and healthy contributor to my community.

There are several procedures that help to maintain this health and safety however they can all vary between settings for example, health and safety procedures will be slightly different and more focused on certain areas in hospitals and especially in paediatric ward compared to in drop-in centres where the needs and risk to service users are slightly different. Some of the procedures used in health and social care to maintain health and safety include; infection control and prevention, safe moving and handling of equipment and individuals, food preparation and storage, storage and administration of medication and storage and disposal of hazardous substances.
Universal precautions as stated in the OSHA BBP standard is the concept of presuming that all blood, and bodily fluids including saliva carry bloodborne diseases such as HIV, HBV, and HCV. The practice of universal precautions is a key factor in limiting the chances of disease transmission to healthcare workers, their patients, and their families. It’s just as important for the healthcare professional to take proper infectious control measures in preventing disease transmission as it is for them to follow these universal precautions. Project 3 As a health care professional, you will be with people at the beginning of their life, when they are born, and with them at the end of their life, when they pass away. You will see people as they are born and as they pass away. Because you will be exposed to these areas of life and the individuals themselves you must be comfortable and able to remain professional during these circumstances. While speaking to someone who you know is passing away would be difficult and sad I am comfortable doing it.
It was a satisfying moment as a nursing student to not be afraid and know how to provide safe and preventative care to reduce the risks for falls, such as having my clinical instructor, a colleague and myself to help a client that has fragile bones and was confused because of their medical diagnosis. As well, we can provide proper prevention and infection control by applying correct hygiene care after assisting a client with an infection such as clostridium difficile. What did not go well after this experience is I found out that this client had clostridium difficile and at first, I was scared that now I am at risk and will acquire this infection. Instead, I looked at it as I am overcoming my fear of the different infections and diseases I will be exposed to as a nurse and that is why learning how to perform proper hygiene is very important. This bad thought turned into a learning curve and that nothing will make me not provide safe and effective care to any client.
