I can enrich the diversity of Milligan 's campus community because I am already so diverse from the norm at Milligan College. To start off, I as a person am a complete combo of uniqueness and spunk. I can bring something different to Milligan because of my peculiar way of thinking and decision making. I set myself apart from those my age because I matured at a young age due to certain situations that I had to face as a child that most people never have to face in their entire lives. However, I could not be more thankful; God had a plan for me and because of the adversities that I experienced, I am a more determined and goal oriented individual.
My hope is to continue the legacy of my grandfather who had a very fulfilling and challenging experience throughout his time at St. Thomas. It was pivotal in preparing him for Notre Dame and receiving his PhD in Physics from the University of Michigan. I’m looking forward to the many opportunities that will be available for me to determine my future options for all aspects of my life, both educationally and spiritually. My main objective is to work diligently to excel in academics, athletics, volunteerism, and to demonstrate the core values and beliefs that St. Thomas represents. I feel that I can contribute by having the following attributes: Motivating others to be available to work as a team and individually, when challenging events occur to develop the skills to identify solutions and not give up.
I would love to be a part of this prestigious organization, and I am honored for the consideration. One of the many reasons I would like to be accepted is because I have always had a passion to serve the community. I realized this in 2011, while spending three months in the Dominican Republic adopting my brother, Alex. Since then, I have become a life group leader of a four-year-olds Sunday school class at my church, Forest Hill. This opportunity has taught me about leadership and the need for role models in our community; particularly as it relates to children of a young age.
I am applying to the University of Pennsylvania for the prestige, high-quality education, and progressive environment. I have lived in many places, around a variety of people, and felt vibes that persist in different environments. Discovering that I want to live in a place that is progressive, I also found that I want to surround myself with people who have ambition and crave life enhancement. Surrounding myself with other students who strive for excellence will keep me driven. The key to this is an institution with a challenging curriculum, an appreciation for global impact, and the desire to contribute.
Applying these abilities to not only on a daily basis, but on a future basis. I aspire to use my skills in mathematics,
“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” (Malcolm X). Obtaining a college education will give a person an enormous advantage in the future. It could be the difference between having a tremendous lifestyle or limited lifestyle. The reason I am attending college is it could lead to discovering the best fitting career, increase potential earning and personal fulfillment.
I believe my experience would reflect me positively to succeed at Penn State. One of the apparent characteristics of Penn State University is its cultural and educational diversity. Through my experience, I have learned how to embrace individual’s cultural and educational differences. My experience helped me to break the stereotypes, all the closed thoughts and minds. I cannot know every single detail of somebody else even if I am very intimate with the person.
I have always loved puzzles and riddles. One of my favorite feelings is being faced with a challenge and having no idea of where to start. While this frustrates some people, it excites me because I get to try something brand new. This excitement pushes me on no matter how hard the puzzle; I refuse to give up on any riddle. This passion for problem solving lead me to fall in love with math because to me math is a giant series of puzzles.
I enjoy science because I can conduct experiments and answer questions about an animal, physics, etc. In science, I can find out how the world works, which has always been an interest to me because the way I look at the world, everything is connected. Creativity is used in science because I use my creativity to create new inventions that I use day to day. I am extremely thankful for the gift of science because someday I want to make a difference in the science industry, and without science being available, I would not be able to do this. All in all, science is important to me because I can express my love for the
My university will be different after I leave because I will show student to love what they do. How to be happy and content with their dreams. Follow their dreams even if it’s not going to get them that huge mansion they have always wanted. Go for the career they want to pursue and simply by leading from example I can make a

Math became the tool for me to become a member of this unknown society. I will never forget the first moment I was first applauded by the teacher for answering a math problem that no one else knew. My classmates stared at me in a shock, with an air of surprised appreciation. When my classmates started to ask me for help to solve math problems, I felt that I finally became a person that could help out others. The day one of my classmate told me I was the best person in math in our class, I eventually began to be confident about myself.
I find that the beauty of math is in the process, and if students learn to care more for that instead I think they will understand more math. While being stressed is definitely my biggest weakness in math my biggest strength would be conceptualizing problems in new ways. Often when I was in college of high school when math becomes more complex and there are more than one way to solve the problem I would enjoy exploring that. I would try and look for the most effective way to solve problems it helped me to avoid the trap of getting the right answer being the goal. This is something that has definitely got stronger the more math I master.
