In addition to these new methods of transportation, inventions dealing with mass production also provided the fruits necessary to industrialize America at a rather fast pace. For example, interchangeable parts, so popular in the past century, became even more effective through machinery such as the assembly line created by Henry Ford which later allowed for the Model T to be built, furthering new modes of transportation. These methods of widespread production, profited the economy and industrialization period greatly for it created more jobs, in order to fulfill the nation’s population. For example, inventions such as the cash register and the typewriter increased American business and the wealth of the country’s citizens. These necessities along with updated travel methods such as the refrigerator car and electric railway allowed for easy access to parts of the country not accessible before, furthering industrialization throughout America and ultimately creating urbanization never seen before. Additionally, the concept of the telephone, created by Alexander Graham Bell, allowed for the creation of a communication network which sped and allowed for more global communication something not possible before this genius invention. Likewise, Thomas Alva Edison also was a brilliant inventor during this time period and is known best for the creation of the electric light bulb which increased workdays and allowed for America’s entire system of industrialization whether it be small town business or factory work to be expanded and extended dramatically. These innovations in both the communication and business sectors of America’s Industrial Revolution were extremely important because they provided the global communication only previously provided for by boat.
