/18 The United States Constitution is by far one of the most important pieces of American set of laws. It was written in 1787 during the Philadelphia convention, according to the library of congress at first the continental congress had formed a loose set of laws known as the articles of confederation. Which is actually considered to be the first constitution of the United States which was written in November 15, 1777 however, the states were not at all organized and did not ratify them until March 1, 1781. The articles of confederation however back fired and did not seem to function successfully with in the states. For instance, it had created a loose confederation of independent states, which held a weak central government, leaving overwhelming majority of the power to the states. Once the issue of war was no longer apparent or a symbol to unite Americans. The states and local rebellions threatened to destroy the concept and unity of the revolution. Because things were simply not working out and the people were very frustrated. According to Constitution daily (2017) the main reason the articles of confederation failed was simply because the central government couldn’t collect taxes to fund its operations, States also had their individual money systems.
