There have been people stating that US Punk is better and more efficient to the audience than UK Punk. People have that ideology, because they measure their perspective of Punk in the compared areas such as the audience emotion in a concert or even the sellouts of the US bands concert to the UK bands. However, the UK bands are better the US bands in the areas of political influence, theme, and style. I don’t agree with Michael Woods that American Punk is better than British Punk, for the following reasons: American Punk is more for people to enjoy, and for people to relax. It is part of Punk rock but rawer to the audience than the typical British punk rock. This version of Punk Rock is more energetic and with angered sounds. The effect of is that the audience reaction in concert and events are more violent and as well enjoyable than British punk. In the political view, hardcore punk takes as mentioned earlier a great impact in the problems and situations of the audience. The way that the British punk bands protested were more likely efficient and with less aggressiveness and violence than US Punk. These British punk bands would do it protest without any type of violence because they knew that violence doesn’t lead to any good results. Instead they protested in song written by many bands talking specifically to the injustice situation of government corruption and unfairness to the youth in most cases. Another method commonly used by the British was doing marches in specific areas of the country or the city. In the aspect of themes, British themes are more substantially convincing than the American punk themes. The result of this is that the propaganda to the audience that British punk produces is more realistic and more connecting to the everyday crisis than many teens are facing. British Punk is one of the most recognized around the world for the activism and their involvement when a natural disasters, economic crisis, Youth problems in society, and police brutality.
