Value of life

In a world where humans are filled with greed no one had, had not followed that way. In many’s eyes surviving is the primary goal of life and many take it for granted. In the book night it tells a story about a man named Elie Wisel and his family getting sent to a concentration camp in Auschwitz. Him and his family went through many casualties that the concentration camp had leaving him traumatized. At the camp the only goal day by day was to try his best to survive and live. People may think and say surviving at any cost is selfish and greedy. But in the real world people want to ensure their safety and by any means killing may be used. In my opinion it's not selfish to want to live and have survival as a primary goal because thats what make life meaningful to people …show more content…

Some of these behaviors also involve brutal killings and forceful robberies. For example in squid games people did whatever was needed to survive and win a large amount of cash. This also connects with Night according to the text “Meir, my little meir! Don't you recognize me? You're killing your father.. I have bread. for you too. for you too.” While collapsing he still had a small bread crust in his fist he tried to raise it to his mouth but others stopped him from doing so. He died while mumbling something and nobody gave a shit but then his son started searching him and found the crust and ate it up. These two stories really show how survival can be at gun point sometimes and you have to do anything to survive. This also showed selfishness and
