VERSE POEM Why Are We Here?

I walk on this earth but I don’t know why I am here.
Is my death long down the road or is it near?
I have so many questions but their answers are up in the air?
This is why I always say “life is just not fare”.
Why are we here? why was I born?
If life was made for happiness and pleasure then why is my heart always torn?
People say I’m a lunatic full of misery.
There wrong. I’m not crazy; I am just living a life of mystery.

FREE VERSE POEM Awake

last night I didn't sleep, for I feared of never waking up again.
I feared that would never again hear the rustle of my crisp bed sheets.

But outside the castle, serving his people was his only intention.

Verse 2:
The mother insisted and said that we won’t get caught because the king is not watching.
The daughter didn’t agree and said that this was wrong.
She said surely we can hide our sins from the king but we can’t hide them from the king’s God.
The mother ignored her and added water to the milk anyway.

Refrain:
There was this king who used to patrol the streets acting like he was a slave.
Just to see who was greedy and who gave.
In the castle he was the object of attention.
But outside the castle, serving his people was his only intention.

Verse 3:
On the other side of the valley, the king overheard this conversation and he was really impressed with spirituality of the daughter.
He like her so much that he asked her if she wanted to marry his son and she agreed.
And after this day, the king is remembered as the king who married his son on the street.

Take this time of life
And make it come to reality
So much still to strife
Before one can be free
Everything is so slow
In its own simple way
But you must try to go
