Vice is lifestyle magazine which focuses on life events, politics, current affairs, social affairs, etc.Vice is a monthly magazine that has been around since 1994. At first it was called the Voice of Montreal and used to be a punk magazine aimed toward the youth and meant to discuss music, and any other topics not usually covered in print. In 1996, it was bought and the name was changed, the magazine became more and more popular and as it grew in popularity, it started to change topics and feature subjects such as the war in Iraq, as well as other political and social issues, including provocative and politically incorrect articles, alongside art, music and pop culture themes. By 2007, 13 foreign editions were published all over the world, giving Vice millions of readers and writers. Its competitors include NME, DIY, Loud and Quiet as well as Dazed and confused. All these publications are free apart from Dazed. Vice's writers are from all over the world which means that the content is very much diverse and can sometimes be contradictory.
