Vietnam War Tactics

The Vietnam War was a long and brutal war with many types of warfare as well as great leaders and terrible tyrants. The Viet Cong and there leader Ho Chi Minh tried to control all of Vietnam. One of the great leaders was Dwight D. Eisenhower who led the U.S. to try to prevent communism. Also, major battles and tactics were used by both sides which directly affected the outcome of the war. The protests in the United States also affected this outcome. The time has come to explain what the war was about.

The Vietnam War had many causes all leading up to it. First, was the growing hate for communism. This helped influence the growing tensions between the U.S. and the Viet Cong. Second, was the idea that if communism was in one country it would spread to others. Third, was the requests of aid in the war by the South Vietnamese. Now to the leaders and tyrants who had very different reputations according to their countries.

When the U.S. joined the war, the British were pulling out. Our leader Dwight D. Eisenhower decided to help out the South Vietnamese. However, we had a problem. We had to find a way to fight guerrilla warfare because we had no efficient way to fight it. So our president used the new troops called the Barrettes to the job.
