It has been said that violent video games doesn’t cause mass shootings and mental health issues. But, video games cause the exact opposite of what people say. Video games cause people to act out of the ordinary. To elaborate, when the role player plays the violent video games for a long period of time, the player becomes numb to sympathy and emotions towards other human beings. This means that if the role player were to shoot up a real school, library, etc. They wouldn’t feel any remorse for the lives they just took in an instant. The “role player” would enjoy every single minute of taking the lives, innocent people. In some ways, video games could be used as a coping mechanism to certain eating disorders, stress, anxiety, etc. This means that not all video games are terrible. They could be used for good. For instance, some games can be used for fun, not a dark digital gore fantasy of killing people. However, it is all up to you. How are you going to steer your life and actions towards success and happiness or anxiety and locked up in an iron cell for the rest of your life?
