Games are Detrimental
Imagine you are in a movie theater and 2 children who are obsessed with The Riddler and The Joker from the famous film and the game “Batman” come in shooting. Role-playing games with simulated violence are detrimental to children. The games have a bad influence in children. The games also have a bad reaction. There are many cases where video gamers became killers. For instance from the article “Do games like ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Cause Real-World Violence” it reads “Two events happened this week that many politicians and members of the media will link together. The first: A mass shooting in Washington D.C. in which an angry, mentally-ill young man shot and killed dozen of his fellow citizens. Second: The release of “Grand Theft Auto V, the perennially controversial sandbox game.” This shows that the Navy Yard shooting has a connection with the release of the game because later on in the article it states “when you hear the shooter's friend say that he would watch on a life size screen these violent video games for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours.” It is kind of hard to not make a connection when you hear stuff like this.

In the article called “Shooting in the Dark” it states “Sure enough, compared with a group who had played a nonviolent video games, those who had been engaged in “Mortal Kombat” were more aggressive across the board. They gave their fellow students significantly bigger portions of hot sauce.” This tells me that children are more aggressive if engaged in a violent game. The in the same article it says “These kids are more likely to be mean to kids in school because of the games.” This quote shows me that no matter where they will be more aggressive than the children who do not play these
