The most common visual tasks such as reading or visual guidance of walking require us to analyze impressive amounts of information at high rates. Reading is a crucial component of full participation in society as quoted by Gordan in his article1. [Gordan et al., 1985]. There are two fundamental skills involved in the growth and wellbeing of the children, they are broadly categorised into visual motor skills and visual perceptual skills.
The Visual motor skills are imbibed unto children by the visual information which is perceived and converted into action. The visual motor skills are recurrently needed by the children for all the definite gestures that they produce so as the visual perceptual skills. Any deviation from the normal will cause

It is the ability to resolve the visual information that encirclesus. Without the appropriate level of visual perceptual skills, the children may have difficulty withlearning to read, play, and good eye hand coordination2.The visual perceptual skills include several key components such as Visual discrimination, Form constancy, Figure ground, Spatial relations, Visual closure, Visual sequence, and Visual memory. When these aspects of visual information are not perceived accurately it cannot be integrated with other senses3. [Swearingen A, 2007]. The two standardized tests for assessing the non motor skills are Test for Visual Perceptual Skills (TVPS) and Motor free Visual Perceptual Test (MVPT) by the Occupational therapists [Mc fall]. Both the tests have predrawn configurations and designs which the child has to identify or indicate by any means5. [Mccarthy, …show more content…
The ability to see smaller letters that subtend the visual angle at the eyes at 5minutes of an arc is the only aspect which is being considered primarily. The capability of the eyes to see the small targets alone are not the predictor of good eyes, whilst the potential of the eyes to read and write for extended period of time without any discomfort and distortions is crucial. Such a symptomless reading should be the outcome of any extensive eye care. The reading difficulties also emerge from subtle changes or visual deficits.Visual stress is another aspect of visual dysfunction that hasbeen overlooked universally. It is the ailment which hampers the ability to read. It is known that Visual stress is a condition which was profound in the individuals with dyslexia but notably it is prevalent in the general population6. [Wilkins, 2007]. It is the experience of unpleasant visual symptoms when reading for prolonged period of time. The two categories of the symptoms of visual stress are discomfort, the second as visual perceptual distortions and illusions. Visual stress also has various manifestations. Its association with migraine influence 10% of the population in addition encounter reluctance to light all along and amidst their headaches. These visual stimuli which
