Interaction of vitamin c and iron Introduction
The food contains many of the necessary for the human body nutrients However, most people do not take the adequacy of these elements Give us the food necessary for the movement and the movement of the blood in our veins energy necessary for the growth Onsjtna elements and the renewal of our cells.
Not many people know that some nutrients work better taken together than on their own. Iron and vitamin C are perfect examples of this! iron and vitamin C are essential parts of everyone's diet.
It has several functions such as carrying oxygen through the blood and energy production, Vitamin C is involved in many metabolic reactions in the body as well as the creation of collagen.

This means that more iron must be absorbed per unit energy. A higher bioavailability of the dietary iron can be achieved by increasing the content of food components enhancing iron absorption (ascorbic acid, meat/fish) or by decreasing the content of inhibitors (e.g., phytates, tannins). Experimental Study:
In this experimental study, fifteen volunteers were divided into three groups of melatonin, vitamin C and melatonin plus vitamin C treatment. Peripheral blood samples were collected from each group before, and 1, 2 and 3 hours after melatonin and vitamin C administration (separately and combined). The blood samples were then irradiated with 200 cGy of 6 MV x-ray. In order to characterize chromosomal aberrations, the lymphocyte samples were cultured with mitogenic stimulus on cytokinesisblocked binucleated cells. RESULTS:
The samples collected 1hour after melatonin and vitamin C (separately and combined) ingestion exhibited a significant decrease in the incidence of micronuclei compared with their control group (P<0.05). The maximum synergic protection and reduction in frequency of micronuclei (57%) was observed 1 hour after vitamin C and melatonin administration

There is a direct correlation between the iron absorption from meals and vitamin C (ascorbic
