Have you ever wondered why we are tired all time? Unfortunately many people are so stressed out in college because they are stressed out for their grades, work, or the pressure of their parents. In order to be healthy and feel better about ourselves and feel good in general, we need to exercise, have a good nutrition, and get the right amount of sleep. Sleep is one of the most beneficial factors for the brain and it should not be taken for granted. Sadly, it is predicted that 40 to 60 people are sleep deprived. We get protein from food, such as meat, chicken, eggs, and fish, however they are not an important source of energy for exercise. Even though, long distance runners and weightlifters might need more protein than the competitive athlete, many of us will get more than enough protein from eating regular meals and a variety of foods. It is very essential to eat foods that have high antioxidants like vitamin C and E, such as strawberries, oranges, kiwi fruits, olive oil, wheat germ, and nuts. Studies have shown that runners, specially female runners might low in iron because less iron is being absorbed, not eating enough meat, which is high in iron, restricting calories. Eating food that iron, such as dried fruits, enriched cereals, and is very essential. Last but not least, we should hydrate ourselves. Water is also very essential nutrition and it takes all of the toxins away. We should hydrate ourselves half an hour before exercise with a cup of water. After 30 minutes of exercising, we should drink a lot of water to replace the fluids lost through sweat. I chose this article because I wanted to know to gain more knowledge about exercise, nutrition, and what benefits it has, I learned so much from reading this article and I can apply it in my day to day
