Vivienne Westwood is one of the visionary female designers beside Rei Kawakubo and Miuccia Prada. She has been the centre of British Fashion as the Godmother of Punk and one of the most influential designer of the 20th century.

Vivienne Westwood is credited with creating the seventies punk revolution. Her name arose after meeting her lover yet business partner in 1970s, Malcolm McLaren. Both of them worked in a harmonious harmony. he invented the hype while she designed the look, which incorporated found objects like chicken bones and safety pins as a fundamental statement, also the ripped t-shirt, and the slogans. They started to sell their creation in London at their boutique at 430 King’s Road, SEX (also known in 1971 as Let it Rock and renamed SEX in 1974), which later re—branded under the name World’s End in 1981 as the part of Vivienne Westwood’s global fashion empire.

One of the most controversial design that she has ever made is the ‘Destroy T-Shirt’. Emblazoned by Nazi swastika logo, turned-up-side-down Christ on the Cross, Sex Pistols lyrics and destroyed ‘Destroy’ word, this riotous t-shirt characterized Westwood and McLaren’s revolutionary brand of punk politics. She said that the t-shirt was meant to be an indirect protest to abominable dictators who were abusing people. Yet It was also standing up against the older generation, telling them that they are all fascists and young people did not want to accept their taboos. The
