Volleyball Inferno
Volleyball is not only a physical sport but also a mental game faced with many challenges. For me volleyball has always been a passion and an interest even with its dilemmas. Others think it is easy but the ones who really know are the players and the coaches. Throughout my journey of playing volleyball, I have learned how to play efficiently in a game.
Peeping our way into an unknown setting with no gatekeeper to tell where we were , Kerri Walsh Jennings my, guide and I, found ourselves in wonder. A fetor hit us almost instantly, then it came to mind that we were in a circle of perspiration. I even noticed that Alisha Glass was here, who was literally named best setter of 2014 in Italy.
“How did she even end up here?” I asked.
“Even the best setters get called for a double from the slightest movement or misplacement of the hand,” Kerri replied.
It kind of made sense in a way but who knew something so intuitive could become so violent. The level seemed to be filled with mainly setters, who get the most touches on a ball. That being said this level was packed, which also means a lot of blood. They of all the circles get the harshest punishment which made sense seeming how they touch every ball and should not get a whistle blown at them. After the setters it’s the hitters jobs, which moves us onto the next circle.
Finally entering the last, not so fun circle filled with intertwining twists and bundles that seems almost impossible to escape, which is for the sinners but in our case it is not. Although we find ourselves struggling against the rugged rope, like a fish caught in a fish net, we will find our way out one way or another. Kerri seemed to have a puzzled look on her face.
