The technology and software that keeps Walgreens Boots Alliance active supply and current with all 2000 of their current products in their overall organizational productivity called Vendor-Management Inventor (Nassar, 2007). The relationship between Walgreens and supplier is interdependent as they both share a part in keeping up with the production of supply and demand of orders (Blinder, 2015). Each supplier must meet a standard to participate in the global firm (Blinder, 2015).
In order for Walgreens's to measure up to the millions of orders of their 13,200 stores in more than 11 countries, the firm must have in place along with VMI (Vendor-Management Inventor) an EDI in place also known as the electronic data interchange; EDI allows for the different partner to communication quickly as a network of one, especially in inventory management (True e-Commerce, 2018).
