Wall Street Survivor taught me that the stock market in real life is very similar to this but can be different pricing. A stock exchange exists so companies can raise money without incurring debt. If there are more people buying a stock than selling it, the price goes up with the demand. If more people are selling than buying, that is a sign that the stock price will drop. There are hundreds of stock exchanges all over the world. In the U.S. top stock exchanges are NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), NASDAQ, and AMEX (American Stock Exchange). Each of these exchanges are being bought, traded, and sold in the stock market. NASDAQ is known for technological companies. It is a basic learning tool to figure out how to trade stock and how it works. Also, it is a fun learning tool. Wall Street Survivor teaches that the stock market has somewhat similar prices in the real life stock market. It is crazy how you can pick a awful portfolio and pick random stocks but then you can end up winning. It offers much needed information on how the stock market works in real life. The website not only allows you to buy, trade, and sell stock but it has a option for market research. I used yahoo stock to see what was booming in the stocks market during that time of day. Also fool is a good website to help on stock for dummies. It can be very competitive as well. You can compare with your friends what you have done. You start off with 100,000 in your profile. You need to invest your money in order to grow it but unfortunately not many people know much about investing. The website allows you to practice trading stock and test out new strategies. I didn’t spend much of money which was not a good thing. The more you invest the more you grow. My stock that always had a high profit was Alphabet Inc.
