Introduction
Almost every child in the world has heard of Mickey Mouse, but the source of endless hours of entertainment originated with Walt Disney. Throughout his life, Disney experienced many tragic events but in spite of that, he rose to meet the challenge, founding one of the world’s biggest companies. Looking at the life Walt Disney, the development of his company, and the founding of Disneyland will allow us to examine his legacy.

Success became a common theme for this company now with the release of a new successful film called, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which made an incredible $1.499 million. (1) New films were being released regularly and in 1939, they opened a new campus in Burbank for the Walt Disney Studios. However, a strike in 1941 caused many to resign from the company and it took until the mid 1940’s for the company to rebuild its strength. (1) With the release of many new films such as “Sleeping Beauty” and “101 Dalmatians,” the company made its name to be a worldwide successful franchise. About three months before Disneyland was to start being built, Walt got Admiral Joe Fowler to supervise the project. (2) As Walt Disney once said, “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place on Earth. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” (3) This was clearly evident in the fact that Walt hired men to make sure everything was built correctly for Disneyland. The construction for Disneyland finished on July 16, 1954. One year and a day later, after many failures with recoveries, Disneyland was open for business. Shortly thereafter, Disneyland became a universal “hotspot” for all tourists across the world.

Conclusion
Walt Disney became a very successful man due to his hard work and his continued determination to never give up and keep looking forward. As Walt Disney once said, “Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.” (3) Although he is not here with us today in the flesh, his legacy lives on
