Succeeding, my research I came to the conclusion that Herman Webster Mudgett was the first known serial killer. H. H Holmes was a thrill killer, he killed not because of a mental instability but rather his need of excitement while killing. whom felt no guilt or remorse for his killings but more so loved killing ("A Serial," 2009). Holmes was a very organized killer he built what was known a the murder castle where he strategically performed his killings rather they be long and drawn out or instant. H.H Holmes was very intelligent which was even noticeable during his early childhood with his interest in medicine, This interest led Holmes to perform surgeries of both live and dead animals. As a medical student you needed skeletons to perform their studies, therefore Holmes stole skeletons from graves. Succeeding graduation Holmes moved to Chicago, Illinois. Holmes later was employed as a prescription clerk at a pharmacy. Later, Holmes became the owner after the previous owner mysteriously disappeared, H.H Holmes was very organized he formed the pharmacy into the Murder Castle after taking over. The ground floor was designed as stores to avoid any suspection, Other rooms were designed to torture his victims. The store decoy was also another example of holmes intelligence and his ability to plan his killings. (Baber, 2014). In actuality, he switched out laborers to ensure that no one caught on to his master plan. The strange hotel was filled with stairways that led to nowhere, doors that opened onto brick walls. Other doors were outfitted with perplexing locks that would seal a person inside.Bedrooms were soundproofed or equipped with gas lines controlled from the other side of the wall. One room was sealed up by brick and could only be entered through a trapdoor in the
