Why was Romeo’s banishment the worst thing about the story of Romeo and Juliet? In the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo’s banishment ended up killing himself and Juliet. Who caused the death of Romeo and Juliet? Well the person that is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death is Romeo because of Romeo’s undeveloped brain he made bad choices. Romeo’s undeveloped brain made him make very bad choices throughout the story which resulted in both of their demise. First of all, Romeo’s emotions got himself and Juliet killed because Romeo’s emotions are still maturing. For example, “while the parts of the brain involved in keeping emotional impulsive responses in check are still reaching maturity”(“The Teen Brain” 3). This quote explains why Romeo’s emotions got himself and Juliet killed because he loved Juliet so much that if he were to not see her again he would act out in desperation and kill himself. This is why his undeveloped brain made him make bad choices. Another reason why Romeo is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet is that the brain is still developing during teen years. For instance, “maturation does not stop at age 10, but continues into the teen years and even into 20’s”(“Adolescent …show more content…
However, it was Friar Lawrence’s fault because he made a bad decision that ended up in Romeo and Juliet’s demise. “ Take thou this vial, being then in bed, And this distilled liquor drink thou off, When presently through all thy veins shall run a cold and drowsy humor for no pulse…”(4.1.94-97). For example when a robber makes a plan to rob a bank but then the plan falls apart and his friends get killed in action it is his fault for getting his friends involved and getting them killed. Although, it is Romeo’s fault because he made many bad choices that led to both Romeo and Juliet’s demise before Friar Lawrence came up with the big plan. This is why Romeo is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s
