Water pollution is water that is not safe and not healthy for people and animals to drink or to wash in. It is particularly dangerous to water plants and animals. Polluted water is also particularly dangerous to people who get their water directly or dam. In South Africa the scarce fresh water is decreasing in quality because of an increase in pollution and the destruction of river catchments, caused by urbanisation, deforestation, damming of rivers, destruction of wetlands, industry, mining, agriculture and accidental water pollution. Water pollution is a major global problem which requires ongoing evaluation, it suggested that it is the leading worldwide causes of deaths and diseases. Some symptoms of Cholera are diarrhoea and vomiting. People who have the disease should drink plenty of clean water to prevent dehydration. WAYS TO PREVENT WATER POLLUTION  Avoid buying package water as far as possible. The best policy to adopt is to carry a bottle of water when you step out of the house. This has advantage: eliminate your contribution to pollution to pollution relate to plastic bottles.  Try using natural fertilizers and pesticides as far as possible.  If you live close to water try to plants lots of trees and flowers around your home, so that when it rains chemicals from your home does not easily drain into the
