Before we knew it, it was time for the game. We walked into the dugout where everyone was getting their gloves and mitts ready and getting hydrated before the game started. The first inning went by in a flash. The opposite team batted first and scored four runs. When it was our turn to bat, the opposite team got us out in the first three people up to bat. Then it was the second inning. I was in the outfield at leftfield, but no balls came to me. Then it was out turn to bat. I slowly put on my batting gloves and put my helmet over my face. I didn’t really feel like I wanted to do this, but when Hailey was warming Jade and I, it felt different and it was fun. I grabbed my bat and went outside waiting on deck for my turn up to bat.
