During the first 12 month, breast milk or iron fortified formula is the primary food for the infants. Compare to breast milk, cow milk is higher in calcium but lower in vitamin C, while breast milk contain protective factor like antibodies, growth factor, lactoferrin, bifidus factor and more. So it is better to feed babies breast milk at this age. Infant can begin eating solid food after 4-6 month to provide needed nutrition that is no longer supplied adequately by breast milk or formula itself. Due to rapid growth demands food such as iron-fortified cereals and formulas, mashed legumes and strained meats provide iron and fruits and vegetables provides vitamin
