The second poem we have is written by Alice Walker “at Thirty-Nine” it is a 7 stanza poem. For sure the title refers to the age she wrote the poem at. This poem shows a relationship between a father and his daughter it is full of nostalgia and positivity. In the first stanza the daughter -Alice- misses her father so much and she hopes for that he wasn’t exhausted the moment she was born “I wish he had not been so tired when I was born”. However, it is not a hidden secret that all parents the moment their child steps in life they face a lot of ups and downs in their lives.
