We lost 36 cubic miles of ice between 2002 and 2005. The United States needs to make laws on global warming right away. Some say that we should wait to get other countries involved, but that can take a while and I think we should take the lead. We need to make laws on global warming right now because the human race has the biggest impact. The United States contributes to global warming more than other countries. Global warming doesn't just affect humans, but the environment and living things in it. New laws on global warming are necessary. We as a human race ultimately impact global warming. 97% of climate scientists agree that global warming is not caused by variations of earth's orbit but by human activity. This means we can't blame what has happened to the earth because of its orbit we are harming the earth. Almost all businesses and people are burning some type of fossil fuel or greenhouse gasses such as oil, gas, and coal. This is one of the main causes of global warming fossil fuel burns and turns into carbon dioxide the more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere the more heat it keeps in we need to find other ways to use energy. Per person in the United States, we produce more greenhouse gasses than any other country per person. This needs to stop. China produces less per person but has so much more people they are producing more greenhouse gasses. This doesn't mean we can play the blame game we are all a big part in global warming. In the United States, more than a thousand cities and half of the states have made laws on greenhouse gasses. We need to to agree as a country for laws. It is essential that we start with some country, making laws on climate change why not us and why not
