In the 2011 film "We Need To Talk About Kevin," we see mother Eva and her struggles to raise her son Kevin, who consistently shows unexpectedly challenging behaviors. As the movie progresses, it becomes clear that Kevin is not like ordinary kids. In spite of his young age, he frequently engages in manipulative and aggressive behavior. The film reaches its climactic scene when we discover that Kevin has committed a mass school shooting along with the brutal killings of his father and his sister.

If we look at the diagnostic criteria for Conduct Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder we see that many of the criteria are met by Kevin. This is justified by the fact that he kills his sister's guinea pig, blinds his sister in one eye, and brutally murders his father, his sister, and several classmates. We see Kevin as a young man who shows no guilt or empathy, appears to have shallow emotions besides anger and coldness, and shows no evidence of having affection or emotional bonds with anyone, even in his family. He is also very manipulative, putting on a fake act of normalcy for his father and often lying , as seen in the scene where Eva throws Kevin on the ground out of frustration when he immediately soils his newly changed diapers on purpose, causing him to break his arms. Kevin did lie about it and tell his father that he fell down, and he used that in order to manipulate his
