I am already into mystery and suspense books. So when I saw the title We Were Liars I was immediately intrigued. The title made me wonder what the book could about. I wondered if it would be about how the characters in the book became liars or if it was the story of how they used to be. I was completely off. The title was probably the most important thing to remember throughout reading this book. The third reason why I chose this book because it was the number one Young Adult book of 2014. I had been wanting to read it for a long time but could never get my hands on the book. So for it to be the number one Young Adult book of 2014 I just had to get my hands on it to see what was so special about it. Cadence never pretends to be someone she is not. Cadence looks at the world from different angles. She can see right through everyone and see when people don’t have her best interest at heart. It's like she just sits back and watches everything unfold then when she grows tired of watching she steps in and doesn’t need to do much to make a difference. This book has impacted me in a positive way. I’ve realized that I should not let anyone walk all over
