Webcor is one of the largest construction company in California. The company has embraced new technology and innovations to improve on the productivity and make work easier for their employees. In order to reduce the resistance of the employees to the introduction and adoption of new technology, the company has used a strategy of employing fresh university graduates who are collaborative and have embraced technology from their early years as a means of achieving high quality work in less time. This has helped the old employees within a company to appreciate the benefits of using technology in the construction company.

API implementation may be expensive in regards to development times, required maintenance and support. ii. APIs require an expert with vast programming knowledge in order to integrate them with other applications. iii. Security can be a major concern as APIs that are note well implemented and logically structured may expose the data stored by the main enterprise system. (Palmer, 2017)
4) Comparison of Webcor developing the whole IT System versus adopting the already developed solutions.
Webcor adopted an already developed solution which provided the best solution and meets their technological and innovation needs. Webcor may have decided to adopt the solution due to the following reasons.
i. Development of the whole system requires special expertise skills for designing, development and deployment of the system. ii. Its time consuming to design, develop and deploy the whole system using the employees of the Webcor IT department. iii. Engaging the IT team to design and develop the system would disrupt their usual normal duties iv. It may be deemed expensive and costly to develop the whole system I Webcor IT department.
