Each year thousands of slaves escape using the Underground Railroad using the Abolitionist help but when the plantation owners asked that they need to return the, things got out of hand. In which Abolitionists led to the Civil War because the people who wanted slaves were mad how they were losing them through the abolitionist help.The proofs are, because the abolitionist kept making ideas to stop the movement that the non abolitionists didn't like. The arguments got into the church because of our heated they got. Also because of how much the plantation owners wanted slaves they were willing to fight so they don't have to do work.

First, abolitionists were important to American history because they were a group of people who wanted to end the movement of slavery throughout eighteen thirties and eighteen seventies. Abolitionists believed that the African Americans should be equal and that the plantation owner should be able to do there own work. A lot of preachers were in on this problem because it was such a big argument. The main preachers were Lyman Beecher, Nathaniel Taylor, and Charles G Finney. When all these preachers got involved it created religious rivals. So not only did they have slave rivals they had religious rivals. …show more content…

Abolitionists strongly believed that work abuse was horrible. They were so passion it about it that they were willing to fight for it to stop. They first tried to just make law against it but of courses the plantation owners didn't want to follow through with it.
