While writing this essay on statistics and facts about SAT’s, I also threw in some of my personal opinions. Writing about they SAT’s was another form of me venting about my personal experience and just how much they affected me. Everyone has the same feeling during their senior year in high school. Most people are stressed and want to get into the college that they have been dreaming about since they first heard of it. Even though everyone is stressed about how college will be and making the new transition. Most people, including myself were more worried about our SAT scores which will decide whether we get into our first or last choices for college. I have always felt that SAT’s and other standardized tests are unfair to everyone, because of how different everyone can be. I personally am horrible at taking tests and cannot handle the immense pressure that is put on my shoulders when thinking about it. When researching about the topic, I learned many aspects of the SAT’s that I did not previously know. Including how it can affect people that are from different social classes and how it relates to singling out which students are the most promising. Using these to my advantage, I was able to come up with the topic of all these different aspects make the system unfair to everyone that takes the SAT’s. Having different learning abilities was my greatest discovery and counter argument for someone that says that the SAT’s can accurately measure
