The Uniform Commercial Code was first written in 1952. It is a (recommendation of laws that can be adopted by the various states uslegal.com). It was developed to create uniformity among the states for the purposes of conducting business across state lines. The UCC itself is not law but more of a template for states to follow when creating their own laws. It is (divided into nine articles and each one relates to different areas of commercial law including sales, leases, negotiable instruments, bank deposits, funds transfers, letters of credit, bulk transfers and bulk sales, warehouse receipts, bills of lading and other documents of title, investment securities, and secured transactions USLegal.com).

Conscientious Objectors are a group of people who have claimed the right to refuse to perform combatic military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion. The Department of Defense defines conscientious objection as a “firm, fixed, and sincere objection to the participation in war in any form or the bearing of arms, by reason of religious training and/or belief.” (Conscientious Handbook pg 57a). Conscientious Objection has been an ongoing battle since the beginning of war. Conscientious objection to war has never been a popular choice in any time period or in any place.

After a great deal of detailed research, the commissions recommended the formation of the Department of Homeland Security. The NSA or the National Security Agency carries out most of the domestic surveillance in the United States. Before the 9/11 attacks the NSA needed approval from a court, but after the attacks, they were given free reign to copy any data that possibly linked to terrorist activities. This led to many arguments over whether this collection of data was unconstitutional or not. The extent of this surveillance shocked many people; many civil rights advocates thought that this surveillance breached United States citizens’ rights. Because of the threat of domestic surveillance in the United States it should be decreased drastically but not entirely stopped.
Policing Tactics are Unjust In 2012, an African American was murdered every 28 hours by either police officers or persons of authority (Hudson). Of this amount, 43% of murders occurred as a result of racial profiling (Hudson). Police officers are tasked with the duty of protecting people across the nation; however, in a time of urgency, officers are instead harming the people. Although some believe police are behaving in a justified manner, the unnecessary brutality and racial profiling is caused by an inherent belief of white superiority and an internal fear of African Americans.
Sadly, during the last few years the relationship between the community and its police has significantly deteriorated. This has been due to the way some officers have handled certain situations in which the use of violence or deadly force could have been avoided. Because of this, some sectors of the community no longer trust their police; such distrust has gotten to the point that they rather take matters into their own hands than calling them for help. Although not all officers misbehave and abuse their power “it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch”. The media has also contributed in promoting the idea that most cops are bad by transmitting, over and over, videos of police officers abusing their power.

Black men have been found to suffer major health disparities when compared to their Caucasian counterpart’s. They also have an increased rate of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. Significant differences exist in this population and include a number of factors such as; socioeconomic status, education, cultural, and even trust issues with health care providers.
