Both softball and baseball allow boys and girls to go outside but also what is it that they have in common? Baseball is more commonly played professionally than softball. Softball has a much bigger ball than baseball. Both of them can be played outside and inside. Softball and baseball have many similarities but they also have a few differences! Both softball and baseball teams are made up of nine players. "Each softball team has 9 players" (“Softball Rules: How To Play Softball”). So this is basically saying that they both have the same number of people out on the field at the same time. So there is always a 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, 3rd baseman and pitcher, catcher, and shortstop, also 3 outfielders. Center outfield, right field, and left field.

The positions are all the same, they have the same people playing the same position. “The fielding team positions are made up of a pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, third baseman, and three outfielders at left field, center field and right field" (“Baseball Rules: How To Play Baseball”). This tells that there are the same positions in both baseball and softball.

Softball and baseball have similarities and differences. Softball and baseball have differences and a lot of similarities. As you can see softball and baseball have a lot in common but, they also have some differences! Both sports seem so fun!
