Theodore Roosevelt had many accomplishments, and most of them were not during his presidency. There were many other important events that happened before his presidency, and some of them affected Roosevelt’s life tremendously. From October 27th, 1858 to September 14th, 1901, the amount of important events relating to Roosevelt is astonishing. Roosevelt had done many things during his early life like helping others, reading, writing, hunting, and much more. Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27th, 1858 in the large city Manhattan, New York. As a young boy, Theodore would read several books a week. He would write daily diaries and he wrote his first book when he was a teenager. This definitely helped Theodore become president. Theodore had asthma when he was young, and he exercised daily to improve his health. “You have the mind but you have not the body, and without the help of the body, the mind cannot go as far as it should. You must make your body. It is hard drudgery to make one’s body, but I know you will do it” Teddy got told. He liked to wrestle and box for exercise. Theodore will have many experiences with politics before his successful presidency. The tragic deaths of his mother and wife on February 14th, 1884 resulted in Theodore traveling west to live as a cowboy.
