What Caused The Russian Revolution 1917

1A. Once of the main causes for the Russian Revolution in 1917 was World War I. Since many men were drafted into war they had to leave their families behind, also leaving their wives with the responsibility to obtain a job, most likely a factory job, to help provide for their family.
These women who had to work to keep their lives sustainable worked long hours and were paid low wages, making them irritated and frustrated that they (did everything they could and could still not accomplish their duty/task.

1B. With women having to work annoying long hours and get paid poorly, they also had to ration the amount of supplies they received. Not only were the workers discontent with the working conditions, they were also embittered at the fact …show more content…

With the people rioting and striking, Nicholas II the Tsar of Russia from 1894-1917 ,responded to the revolts with violence instead of peace to calm the people, only making them worse and made them go on longer. This action done by the tsar caused the people to strongly oppose the tsarist government. In this regard, the tsarist government collapse and there was an uprising in socialism, which lead to the establishment of a provisional government.

2A. Trench warfare was used during WWI as a defence mechanism. With the industrial revolution and the creation of machine guns, poison gas, and aircrafts, soldiers at war used trenches as shelter to shield themselves from the new artillery. These trenches were the only way the troops were protected and kept them from getting absolutely (wrecked/murked).

2B. With troops using trenches during the war, the soldiers did not have a say to leave, making the war last longer. If one were to leaving the trench, siad person would be killed in a matter of seconds. Before heading out to go fight, soldiers and government officials believed that their men would return before Christmas. No state wanted to step out of war though because it was a competition between them and the government officials of the country did not want an inadequate/amature
