The first time I saw this quote “One joy scatters a hundred griefs,” it made me stop and think for a few minutes. This quote is a Chinese proverb. It means even if there are several bad things happening in your life, one moment of joy can make you forget about the negatives. I find this quote to be accurate based on my personal experiences. Food makes me really happy, I absolutely love to eat. There were several times throughout high school where things didn’t seemed to be going where I expected it to go. I was frustrated with my classes and my inability to do better, no matter how hard I’ve tried. I was always hungry back in high school, because almost every single year I get either lunch at the beginning of the day or at the very end. So I would go out for food with my friends after school, whether it’s an actual meal or fast food. After eating, I felt more content with life. If I’m having a really bad day, I normally turn to my favorite anime, because it never fails to make me laugh until there are tears coming out. Just by being around my friends and family can brighten up my day. This isn’t hard since my friends and I are always making plans to hang out with each other, even after starting college. I have a really close-knit family. We have family dinners weekly, sometimes more than once a week. It also helps that we all live within a few blocks from each
