Although my opinion has not changed very much with the upcoming conclusion of this course, I feel I have acquired more knowledge surrounding religion and the teaching within the bible. The original question in our opening reflect essay was: “What exactly does the Bible say about God”. With my previous knowledge (lack thereof) of the bible if someone were to ask me this I was not sure if I could even remoting come close to answering that question properly. Now I feel through everything we have learned over the course of this semester the bible may provide all the information needed for each person to learn, seek answers in life they may need, and possibly even grow to love everything about God and the bible. I do understand more now than I once did that God has a way of showing mercy among His people and also has a way of making Himself more known and reachable through the power of prayer. Exodus 34:6-7 states that “God can merciful, just, forgiving as well as stern” and without the balance of those characteristics He would not be the omnipotent being that we believe in or expect in our time of need. Throughout one’s life there will become a time where each person is in need and during that time of need an internal search will more than likely end up taking place. That very same internal search that ends up taking place within each one of us may be given to us from the internal strength that God has provided to each and every one of us through belief and prayer. While this search may or may not provide all the answers we are searching for during that time of need, it seems to be enough through the power and belief of God that this internal search takes us to a place will always give us the answers we need to continue on in life …show more content…

Based on what we have learned I feel that people will eventually get what they deserve based upon their actions in life. This change within my thinking came from what we read in section based on the “COUNSEL OF GOD” and the “Righteousness or Worth of One’s Neighbor”. Both of these sections go a very long way in explaining the thoughts surrounding the belief that if you do good in life that very same good will eventually be returned to you and vice versa. The section that discussed the Good Samaritan truly opened my eyes to every aspect of treating another as you would like to be treated. And according to Luke 10:27 each person should: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind”. In doing so this may be an eye opening experience for each individual person and it may lead to a better way of life through sections that we are being shown within
