Symbols can be found everywhere. Whether something grand as a flag to represent a country, or something little and less thought of as a suitcase represents a trip. Our mascot, the jaguar, is a great example of such. Our mascot represents power and authority. Jaguars are powerful animals and I find them to be the best animal to represent our school. Our school should be proud to have an animal that is strong and at the same time at the top of the food chain. Symbols are everywhere, even in The Great Gatsby. In The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald portrays the beginning of the Roaring Twenties, a time of prosperity and freedom, filled with hollow dreams, through a variety of symbols.
