In Act three of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, the people responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s actions are the Capulet family. An example of this would be Tybalt, who in the beginning of Act 3 kills Mercutio, who is Romeo’s closest friend.

Famous Scientist Thomas Adams once stated, “Death is as near to the young as to the old; here is all the difference: death stands behind the young man 's back, before the old man 's face.” This idea of lingering death in all people’s lives, young or old, is carried out in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. In Shakespeare’s play, two young, star crossed lovers (Romeo and Juliet) defy their families and community in attempt to be with each other. This attempt, however, was abortive, as it ended in the couple committing suicide. There were many factors that provoked the tragic death of these two, however some components were more influential than others.
The story of Romeo and Juliet has been an important part of literature since William Shakespeare published it in 1597. Though many people know about the deaths that happen at the end of the tragedy, few people have an idea of who is to blame for these deaths. Juliet is the most to blame for these deaths, because for one she should have known better than to try to marry someone she had just met the day before, and even then if she had realized that if her father had disowned her she would be able to go to Romeo without any trouble. If the story arc was followed exactly up to the deaths of Romeo and Paris, she still could have escaped with Friar Laurence as stated when, “Come, I’ll dispose of thee among a sisterhood of holy nuns. ”(5.3.156-157)

In my opinion I think that the feud between the two main families, the Capulets and the Montagues, is the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. The conflict between these two families is so distasteful that it causes Romeo and Juliet even more of a struggle as they try to find and keep their love. This conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues has been going on for a very long time and neither side is willing to make up for whatever may have happened in the past. Because of this a strong dislike is portrayed when someone sees a person from the opposite side. If the family feud wouldn’t have existed Romeo and Juliet would not have any large reason to hide their relationship.
