Behind every great story is some truth and sometimes the truth is better left untouched because it will be a disappointment. In the movie this is shown by Edward Bloom’s young son, Will.
Symbols are prevalent throughout the movie On the Waterfront. Though they are subtle, they are of great importance, the most obvious being pigeons and hawks. A hawk preys on the pigeons, like the mob does with the workers, who are known as the longshoreman. Though the differences between the hawks and the pigeons are clear cut, many individuals are able to shift between them. Likewise, the film On the Waterfront presents two major characters, the antagonist Johnny friendly who embodies the the hawks, and the protagonist Terry Malloy who mutates between both a pigeon and a hawk.

Intended to educate and bring awareness to a wider audience, the documentary sends a powerful message that SeaWorld’s abuse and negligence towards orcas, blinded by their profit-hungry mentality, jeopardizes orca wellbeing and trainer safety. The film utilizes various techniques and persuasive devices to influence audiences and portray its bias agent SeaWorld that they are a heartless, greedy, and corrupt company.

In the Color of Water by James McBride, Ruth and James both grief over Hunter Jordan’s death in different ways. Hunter is James stepfather but he sees him as his real father because he was always in his life, until he passed away. Ruth didn't care to communicate much with others. She wouldn't even talk to her neighbors. She was a white women in a black neighborhood, so i take it, she didn't have much respect.

However, a few scholars have attempted to piece together what information is known. Geoffrey Nathan is one such author. In his article, "Trajan Decius (249-251 A.D.) and Usurpers during His Reign”, Nathan indicates that Decius was born into an aristocratic senatorial family around 201 AD.

There are many whales in the sea, but this particular whale called Moby Dick is the desirable catch for the whalers and captain due to its legendary proportions. In the novel, Moby Dick, it offers an allegorical story of humanity’s dangerous search for meaning. The monstrous, white whale represents that “meaning” humans have been hunting for their entire lives, but at the end one will discover that one can do so much but still end up not finding their answer. The entire plot to Moby Dick is directed towards the final confrontation between Ahab, his crewman and the White whale.
