Freedom of speech is a right that was given to Americans some time ago. It is the most cherished right Americans have. People would not be able to express themselves without it. They would not be the same person without it. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbur, the lack of speech was protrayed through the characteristics of Guy Montags job as a Fireman and their society and government.
It took dedication, hardship, and the lives of many to gain our independence. Liberty gives us equal rights and the capability to have the same potential
Two rights In 1777 the colonies of the time were functioning without any sort of federal government. The problem was fixed when the Articles of Confederation were put into action. The Articles of Confederation established a form a governance and placed limits on government authority; it also created a national citizenship which applied to qualified members. The weaknesses however outweighed the benefits, which is why the Articles were scrapped entirely and the constitution was conceived.
Another freedom important to me is being to enjoy myself without any fear of the government. In America you can do what you want as long as it is legal and can 't be punished by the government without a fair trial if you are accused of a crime.
Freedom is a type of living that everyone in the world would appreciate having. Some people live in a communist country or a country where freedom do not exist and everything is controlled by the government. With many rules and regulations proposed by the government, people feel that it takes away from their freedoms. Nonetheless, America was established upon freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. People want to live this way along with protection from danger.
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The foundation of America is freedom. Freedom from Britain. However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.
In 1776, Thomas Jefferson wrote the words that still shape America today, “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” These three rights are essential to my life, and America would not be the same without them. For over 240 years, previous Americans have fought so my generation can have these rights. I believe that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are America’s gifts to my generation. Life is a gift bestowed upon us by God and protected by American law.
We Americans take a lot of things for granted, running water, firefighters, police, military, shelter, food, college experience, family, safety from the biggest things to the smallest things, but mostly of freedom, to spend our money like we want

Hope Winston Churchill said “The future is unknowable, but the past should give us hope”. Churchill understood that without the wars, struggles, and hardships that America has been through in the past, we wouldn 't be living in this free country with the hopes that we have today. Without the patriots we had back then, we wouldn 't be here today. On July 4th 1776 America gained its Independence from England. Everyday since then thousands of soldiers risk their lives for our freedom and to secure this independance.
The highlight of being american is freedom, as an american we have have the rights to be or to do what we want. We can choose what school or what college we want to go and also we can choose a major for us to make a living. Being American gave us freedom of speech, the chance to vote, also the country would help you out if you need money, health insurance, and welfare. The amazing thing about being american is that we have a great army that fight day and night to keep the american people safe and sound.
707 “America’s Gift to My Generation” What would we do without our veterans? Veterans sacrificed their lives to protect ours, so we should honor them the best we can. America gave us gifts to our generation. If it wasn’t for them, we might not be here right now as other enemies of ours could have invaded us by now. What would we do without our American heroes who protected our country?
America’s gift to our generation, some people may say a wealthy country or a strong military or maybe even a strong justice system. I don’t disagree with them about that all of those are all very good answers and ideas but what I think the country’s greatest gift to us is freedom. Since the beginning of America’s history there was at least one group that was not free whether it was the 13 colonies being under British power the Native Americans being forced to live in reservations or the Slaves being taken from Africa and forced to work we were not free there wasn’t true freedom in America until the late 1800’s when slavery was abolished.
