During the year 1982, Dr. Kathleen Holland decided to open her own pediatrics clinic in Kerrville, Texas. She would need help to run her clinic and so she hired licensed vocational nurse, Genene Anne Jones. Jones had been employed by a hospital prior to working in Holland’s clinic. She was a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Medical Center Hospital in San Antonio. Her peers began to notice that more of the child patients were dying only during her shift.
My goal is to become a primary doctor working with underserved communities, especially the Latino community. My work and volunteer experience and my professional goal are committed to provide service to the community with cultural competence, diversity and service orientation. CMSRU humanistic education in the art and science of medicine will complement these life experiences, characteristics, as well as my professional and personal interests and goals. As a medical student at CMSRU I will be able to receive an excellent education in patient care, will feel included in the CMSRU community, will share and strengthen my professionalism, collaborative and and civic responsibility skills. The mission and core values of CMSRU match my interests,
Their mission will guide them to make more informed choices about what they fund, give support to, and why they started their organization. Their vision statement

The vision statement should describe what the hospitals future is. The vision statement should motivate the administrators, physician, nurses, technicians and other hospital staff to take patient care seriously. The vision statement of Mainstays Medical Center is "Compassion, teamwork that is focused on patient care and the improvement of health overall." There are teamwork, communication and effective training involved at Mainstays Medical Center because the patients are our biggest assets. Working together to provide the best care is our
As lifelong learning continues, it is important to focus on patients and family outcomes through teamwork collaboration, advocating, effective communication, and equally, self-driven to accomplish goals to create and coordinate activities to promote professional development, is why I have chosen to apply for the ambulatory nurse educator
The mission statement of any healthcare organization must relay the true purpose. Hofstrand (2009) suggested that a statement of mission is a universal announcement of how your vision will be achieved. The vision and the mission are directly connected. Both need to be simple and easy to appreciate and remember. The focus of the company would be on all the patients and the mission statement would look something like that: “New Mexico Essential Healthcare is a non-profit organization that operates throughout the state.
(2008). I would like to challenges Chief Nurse Executives (CNEs) to lead the journey and highlights how patients, their families, and health care organizations would benefit immeasurably if CNEs stepped forward and accepted this leadership role, then and only then can the best practice changes begin to improve what we as nurses already know. The processes of leading are intended to enable more people to develop into leaders and more people to share the roles of leading, to enhance the quality and safety of patient care (Stone P. I love spending time with kids of all ages and getting to know what them. When I think about my strengths, academics are definitely on the list, but they don’t compare to the irrevocable passion I have for children. I believe my determination to exceed and my passion are an accurate reflection of my character and strengths and they also connect to why I would be an excellent addition to NHS. Kenwood’s NHS chapter has a lot to offer me, just as I have a lot to offer it in
Like the MEPN program, I’m committed to engaging, educating, and treating underserved communities alongside like-hearted healthcare professionals. My deep compassion, extensive work experiences, and honed leadership skills have uniquely equipped me to bring my own contributions to the richness of the MEPN program. It doesn’t stem solely from my upbringing but from my proactive determination to develop and transcend within my work and education. Additionally, I firmly believe that the art and science of quality and inclusive healthcare begin with understanding the challenges and needs of underserved populations.
Through this program I hope to learn the fundamentals of community based research, how to advocate for health policy, a most importantly how to educate communities on health. I believe that is the most rewarding thing I can get out of this program. Having the ability, the power, to change someone’s life, by just giving him or her basic health care knowledge is so empowering. Knowing that I changed that life, that because of me hopefully their health will better instead of worsen. Through this program I hope to learn from the community, to learn their experiences, which will allow me to be even more conscious of the disparities they are forced to face, hence causing me to ponder “how can this issue be fixed?”, “what policy can be implemented”?.
Mission statements are typically future focused and are not essentially constructed on present-day. They should be a reasonable viewpoint from which to look down the road. These statements should not bound the development of the organization’s premises through incorrect
My goal is small but will hopefully have a large and beneficial impact on myself along with others. Pediatric occupational therapists have the responsibility to teach children and their parents how they can make commendations to improve the child’s quality of life. Although occupational therapists are do not teach academics, which are all extremely important, they teach lifestyle changes. Teachers enable their students to overcome their struggles and improve, just like occupational therapists do. Humans have the desire to learn and I want to teach children how to live their lives to the
Healthcare organizations’ goals includes provide quality, value priced, safe health care services and ultimately, improve health outcomes. In addition to this primary goal, healthcare organizations also seek financial stability, community value, ethics and employee engagement. In this context, leaders are asked to efficiently use the available resources to optimize the managerial approaches to direct their teams towards more productive environment and positive interactions with patients. Healthcare setting-unlike business setting-is a more complicated system that consists of different professional teams and departments that usually don’t share the same objectives or planning strategies due to the diversity in the services provided.
I am passionate about helping other people. Any person with a passion wants to spend as much time as possible doing it because it is something they love, however not everyone has the chance to do so. I feel blessed to say that I had the opportunity to contribute to my passion during this gap year by working as a volunteer in a children’s hospital in Moscow. I worked with children of all ages - from 1 to 14 years, with various diseases and causes for their hospital stay. The diseases vary; some are very serious, even deadly, while other children come to the hospital just for a general check up.
