The evidence, from the 7 eyewitnesses, support that the colonists were the aggressors during the fateful evening of March 5, 1770, the Boston Massacre. Some cited evidence proves it. Number one, “I saw the people throw snowballs at the soldiers and saw a stick 3 feet long strike a soldier upon the right” (Theodore Bliss). In other terms they were assaulting the soldiers with pieces of snow or ice at them, afterward they hit one of them with a 3 foot club. This shows that the soldiers didn’t shoot to murder, they shot in self-defense.
Edward Buckley here reporting live from Boston where a massacre has just outbroke. British troops were sent in to maintain order of the colonist. The colonist didn't seem to be too happy about that. Large groups of angry colonist came together and began taunting the British soldiers. Along with the taunting, the colonist began throwing snowballs and showing hostile actions towards the British soldiers.

It is said in an online article, BOSTON MASSACRE, that, “ The killings of March 5, promptly termed a “massacre” by Patriot leaders and commemorated in a widely circulated engraving by Paul Revere, aroused intense public protests and threats of violent retaliation.” This massacre was the start of war for colonists.
What Really Happened At The Boston Massacre? Over the course of centuries, disputes amongst people have been prevalent throughout American history. As a result of the human tendency to disagree with each other, outburst of wars, massacres, and riots often occurred. An example of this is Boston Massacre, in which took place over two centuries ago, on March fifth, 1770.
The British were responsible for armed conflict, as they oppressed the colonists repeatedly starting with random unfair taxes, like the Sugar Act of 1764,The Stamp Act of 1765, and possibly one of the most unfair,The Townshend acts of 1767. The colonists were left with no choices, their privacy, property and well being was being invaded through the use of acts passed with no say from the people who were being imposed. Consequently, events like the Bostons Massacre were milked as highly effective propaganda to turn Colonists against the British by rebels like Paul Revere. Although events like the Boston Massacre may have been blown way out of proportion, they still convinced many to be aggravated and choose to revolt. One of the last straws
The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5th, 1770 on King Street in Boston, Massachusetts. 5 men were killed and 6 others were harmed as a result of it. It started as a British guard was being harassed by a mob of angry civilians. 8 more soldiers joined his side who took on what he was going through. Eventually, guns were fired and killed 3 people on the spot, while 2 others died afterwards due to injuries.

The article states that the british are not to open fire on the bostonians, but they still open fired and killed five bostonians. Witnesses that were interviewed then say that youngsters were throwing snowballs but were doing no real harm to the soldiers and therefore they should not have shot fire.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamarlan set off two bombs near the finish line of the marathon, killing three people and wounding over 260 more . Tsarnvaevs older brother had been killed during a gun battle with the police and Dzokhar had later been arrested. The younger of the two brothers was then put on trial and later facing death on 17 counts and being sentenced to death.

The real question is when did this accident start, and when did it get too far? Some say it should have never happened. others say it was the start of the revolution. There was not a massacre on March 5, 1770 in Boston because according to Captain Preston and John Bufford, the colonist and the troops were both armed and attacked each other. This means that what happened in Boston was not a massacre. The first reason the event was not a massacre is because the event in Boston 1770 was a war. As stated by Captain Preston “The colonists were assembling to attack the troops… they surrounded the guard and threatened to execute… after a soldier was attacked he fired…”. This supports my claim because it proves that, both the troops and colonists were attacking each other, and the troops attacking the colonists was not a random decision.
There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
