Toyota Vehicle Recalls
Toyota is the leading car manufacturing company in the world since long time. Toyota is well-known for its quality, production system and design. Many Toyota owners in Canada and other countries were taking pride to own Toyota vehicles because it is more trustworthy and low-defect vehicles. Quality assurance of Toyota was questioned in recent years when Toyota declared major recall for its cars during late 2009 and early 2010
From 2009 to 2010, Toyota began a worldwide recall of millions of vehicles that had various problems. Previously the carmaker had also recalled different car models in 2007. Though, the recall was not as massive as the one in 2009. The causes included the seatbelt problems, exhaust system problems, faulty window switches, and the possible trapping of the accelerator pedals. The problems were widely reported in the US, UK, and the North American region. This paper provides a summarized and detailed report of the 2009 to 2010 Toyota car recalls. An analysis of the way Toyota handled the issues is also provided. Recommendations are also provided.
