World War I Was one of the bloodiest wars ever. World War I was a war fought in Europe between Germany, Russia, France, Great Britain, and the United States and many others. World War I was ultimately started with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary. The indirect causes were more significant to the outbreak of WWI than any direct cause.
